Pak vs NED Vikramjit Singh’s 50 Has Put the Netherlands on Top in the ICC World Cup 2023

Pakistan is struggling to get wickets and the Netherlands batters are milking them for runs. Vikramjit Singh’s brilliant 50 gave his team a fair chance to upset Pakistan in the first match of the World Cup. The Netherlands were 51 for 2 when de Leede joined Singh and put on a great show to put Pakistan on the back foot. They added 70 runs in no time to provide their later batter a chance to chase down the total.

He opened the innings and looked throughout his innings against fast and spinners. He builds his innings by milking good for signals and bad ones for boundaries. The innings included one six and four 4s. Ha faced 67 balls for his 52 runs with a strike rate of 77.61. Slow in approach but solid for his team.

Early on the Netherlands won the toss and opted to field first. They gave some tough time to Pakistan early on by getting 3 wickets for 38 runs in the first powerplay. But then Saud and Rizwan added 120 runs for 117 balls to give the remaining batters a good platform. Pakistan managed to score a defendable total of 286 runs. 

The chase is on from the Netherlands team but they are losing too many wickets in the later part of the innings. Pakistan needs to win it with a huge margin because the run rate will come into play later on as the tournament goes on. It’s a long tournament and the run rate will come into play.
