Pakistan Won By 21 By DLS Method to Keep Their Hopes For Knockout Stage

A massive win for Pakistan for after New Zealand posted a mammoth total on the board of 401 runs. At the halfway stage now would think that Pakistan could challenge this total but courtesy of Fakhar Zaman and the Skipper Babar Azam kept the tempo in this big chase after losing Abdullah early. Pakistan won by 21 runs by DLS Method after scoring 200 runs in 25.3 overs. The DLS par score at this stage was 179 runs. A good win for Pakistan to keep the tournament alive.

Fakhar Zaman was lethal for New Zealand and was dealing in sixes. He is the first Pakistan player who hit more than 10 sixes in a single innings. When the rain came he was playing on 126 runs facing 81 balls with the help of 11sixes and 8 fours. Babar Azam also looked good for his 66 runs with the help of 2 sixes and six fours. 

Pakistan won the toss and field first. New Zealand played brilliantly by posting a huge total on the board of 401. Pakistan’s start was not up to the mark as they lost Abdullah for just 6 runs on the board. The match was stopped by rain twice but both times Pakistan was ahead of the DLS which was something unbelievable. 

Pakistan is also looking like a good chasing team in this World Cup as they have chased down some record totals. They chased down
