Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid is reportedly preparing to inform midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni that they will be ineligible to participate in the club’s crucial match against fierce rivals Barcelona this weekend.
This decision follows an aggressive confrontation between the two players during training at Valdebebas on Thursday.
The incident has become a major talking point in Spanish football circles, marking the latest in-house dispute among members of Real Madrid’s first team.
However, the severity of this particular event is reported to be significantly higher than previous occurrences.
After a heated clash during training for the second consecutive day, Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni reportedly carried their animosity into the dressing room.
According to reports from Diario AS, Tchouaméni allegedly struck Valverde with a ‘hard punch’ after the Uruguayan player repeatedly accused his French teammate of leaking details of their prior disagreement to the media.
Earlier that day, Valverde had refused to shake Tchouaméni’s hand and subsequently engaged in several aggressive tackles during training on the field.
Valverde was reportedly knocked down by the punch, sustaining a head injury that required medical attention and stitches for an open wound.
The club is taking this incident with extreme seriousness behind the scenes in the Spanish capital.
Consequently, it is highly probable that both Valverde and Tchouaméni will face suspension from their club for the upcoming weekend’s fixture.
A report from El Chiringuito TV indicates:
“The most likely scenario is that neither will play in El Clásico. A disciplinary file has been opened on them.”
