Simon Sohm has officially finalized his transfer from Parma to Fiorentina, declaring his immediate objective is to help the club achieve Champions League qualification.
The midfielder successfully underwent his medical examination earlier today, following the agreement reached between the two clubs regarding the transfer fee.
The deal is reportedly worth €15 million upfront, with an additional €1 million in potential add-ons. Parma is also set to receive a five percent share of any future sale of the player.
Negotiations for the Swiss international had been ongoing for nearly a month before a breakthrough was finally achieved last week.
Sohm Eager to Start New Chapter at Fiorentina

“It’s a beautiful city, and I really admire the Viola Park training complex. I am extremely pleased,” Sohm shared on the club’s official website.
“Serie A is a very demanding league; I experienced that firsthand last season. Now, I aim to elevate my game further, and Fiorentina is an excellent club for my development. I want to contribute to the team’s success and also grow as an individual player.”
Sohm found himself somewhat alone at the Florence training ground, as the main squad is currently in England for their pre-season tour, where they recently faced a defeat against Leicester City in a friendly match.
He added, “My aspiration is to qualify for the Champions League, and I’m looking forward to meeting my new teammates tomorrow.”
The Switzerland international joined Parma from FC Zurich in October 2020 for a fee of €6.4 million.
During his time at Parma, he played a crucial role in securing promotion from Serie B and subsequently maintaining their top-flight status.
Last season, Sohm was a key contributor, scoring four goals in 37 Serie A appearances for the Emilian club.
