South Africa has arrived in India before the major event ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The team lead by Temba Bavuma arrived in India on Monday ahead of their ODI World Cup 2023 warm-up matches. At Trivandrum International Airport, they touched down. Using its official social media account, South Africa Cricket shared a video of the same.
They are the first team to arrive in Trivandrum for their pre-event warm-up games. On September 29, they will play Afghanistan in their first exhibition game.
On October 2, the Temba Bavuma-led team will face off against New Zealand in their second exhibition game at the Greenfield International Stadium.

As a result of a stress fracture in his lower back, elite pacer Anrich Nortje of South Africa was forced to withdraw from the major competition.
The 2019 ODI World Cup was also out of the question for Nortje due to a thumb injury. Sisanda Magala has also been excluded because of a knee ailment, joining him. In the ODI World Cup squad, they will be replaced by Andile Phehlukwayo and Lizaad Williams.
On October 7, in Delhi, South Africa will play its opening match of the competition against Sri Lanka.
The Proteas struggled at the 2019 ODI World Cup because they could only reach the semifinals after winning three of their nine games. This time, they’ll try to recover and win their first World Cup trophy.
