Valencia’s defensive lineup will be further depleted for their upcoming fixture as Unai Núñez has been confirmed unavailable for the match against RCD Mallorca.
Núñez had participated in team training on Monday, sparking optimism about his potential return from a recent fitness issue for the midweek La Liga encounter. However, manager Carlos Corberán confirmed in a pre-match press conference that the 29-year-old defender remains sidelined.
The Spanish center-back’s absence adds to an already extensive list of defensive casualties, with Mouctar Diakhaby, José Copete, and Eray Cömert also unavailable for the trip to Son Moix.
On a more positive note for Los Che, attacker Hugo Duro is available for selection and at the disposal of boss Corberán for Tuesday evening’s game.
