The ICC 2023 Cricket World Cup ‘Golden Ticket’ was given to Sachin Tendulkar and Bharat Ratna on Friday by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The BCCI declared the event “An iconic moment for cricket and the nation!” in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

According to the post, BCCI Honorary Secretary Jay Shah gave Sachin Tendulkar the golden ticket as part of the organization’s “Golden Ticket for India Icons” scheme. The career of Sachin Tendulkar, a symbol of supreme cricketing ability and national pride, has motivated many people. He will now take part in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and watch the action firsthand, it was said.

After receiving the golden ticket for the 2023 World Cup, Sachin Tendular thanked the ICC and BCCI on X later that day. He wrote, “From serving in the 1987 World Cup as a ball boy to competing in six World Cups from 1992 to 2011, and now receiving this golden ticket in 2023 – it has indeed been a journey woven from dreams and the excitement within me remains undiminished.”

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan previously received a golden ticket to the 2023 Cricket World Cup from the BCCI for his consistent support of Team India.

2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, The opening match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 between England and New Zealand is scheduled for October 5. The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the game. India’s World Cup campaign will get underway against Australia on October 8 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium. At Narendra Modi Stadium, Team India will take on Pakistan on October 14.
