Who will be in Pakistan’s preliminary World Cup team in 2023? According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will announce a 15-man provisional squad for the ICC World Cup 2023 on Tuesday.
The PCB will send the names of the initial squad to the ICC by September 5 as they were advised to announce the final squad following the Asia Cup.
Initial team selection consultations by the Selection Committee have already taken place.
According to sources, Saud Shakeel, a middle-order batter, is likely to be included while Faheem Ashraf and Abdullah Shafique might not.

The management of the participating nations may alter their squad up until September 28 without seeking prior approval from the International Cricket Council (ICC).
However, they will need approval from the international cricket governing body if they need to make any changes after the specified date.
