Yuvraj Singh Highlights India’s Biggest Issue Before the 2023 World Cup. Yuvraj Singh, a former all-rounder for India and a World Cup hero, discussed India’s chances of winning the next ODI World Cup 2023 and said he is “not sure, to be honest,” if India will win the ODI World Cup at home.

The Indian cricket team will now host the forthcoming ODI World Cup 2023 at home and will be hoping to win the major competition and end their ICC trophy drought after suffering a terrible loss at the World Test Championship Final 2023. It should be mentioned that the Indian cricket team won its final ICC trophy, the ICC Champions Trophy, in 2013 while MS Dhoni served as captain. The Indian cricket squad hasn’t fared well since then.

Yuvraj Singh aired his dissatisfaction in an open discussion on the “Cricket Basu” YouTube channel. When questioned about India’s chances at the 2023 World Cup, he responded honestly.

He stated: “I can confidently predict that India will win the World Cup, though I’ll be honest and say I’m not sure if they will. Due to injuries, I have several worries about the middle order of the Indian team. Although it is disappointing to see them (India) lose the World Cup, things are as they are.”

He further asserted that the Indian team has been let down by its team combinations. He stated: Rohit Sharma, our captain, is a wise leader. They ought to choose the proper combination. We need to play a few games to warm up. To choose a squad of 15 players from, we should have a pool of at least 20 players.

He said that while the team’s top order is great, the middle order, particularly at positions 4 and 5, is where the team’s problems lay.

He stated: “The middle order needs to be sorted, but the top order is OK. The slots 4 and 5 are crucial. Rishabh Pant ought to bat at number 4 even if he is batting fourth for the IPL team.”

Yuvraj Singh also made the point that India couldn’t play in an experimental approach during games as important as the knockout rounds. When asked who the ideal No. 4 would be, Yuvi proposed KL Rahul as well as supporting Rinku Singh for the position. He stated:

“Rinku Singh was playing excellent batting. He has the wisdom, in my opinion, to form a partnership and hold onto that strike. It’s too soon. You need to provide him with enough matches if you want him.
