Amir clarifies Pakistan’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup semifinals

Amir clarifies Pakistan’s chances of qualifying for the World Cup semifinals. Speaking candidly, former Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir discussed Babar Azam’s team’s prospects of making it to the ICC World Cup 2023 semifinals, which are now taking place in India.

At Eden Gardens in Kolkata, India, on Tuesday, the 31st match of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2023 saw Pakistan overcome Bangladesh by seven wickets thanks to an outstanding batting display.

Pakistan has overcome significant obstacles to reach the World Cup semi-final, but there are still many obstacles in their way.

In an ideal world, the Green Shirts would need New Zealand to lose their remaining games since they have eight points from six games and Pakistan must win their remaining games. Pakistan may advance to the knockout stage with 10 points if they win their next three games, while the Black Caps would finish the group stage with eight points if they lose their next three games.

Amir stated on Haarna Mana Hay that it would be tough to see Australia and New Zealand lose their remaining games.

SA vs NZ Playing 11 Match ICC World Cup 2023

“As Muslims, we consider prayer to be essential, but in cricket, anything may happen. It’s possible for New Zealand to lose both games handily. Even Australia is capable of losing, but with the manner they are playing cricket, it appears to be difficult in practise, Amir added.

Pakistan’s remaining 2023 ICC World Cup matches:

  • November 4 (day match) versus New Zealand Bengaluru
  • November 11 at Kolkata vs England
  • Day matches will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pakistan Standard Time (PST), and day-night matches will begin at 01:30 p.m. PST for all other matches.
  • Pakistan will play in Kolkata if they advance to the semi-finals.

India will play in Mumbai if they advance to the semi-finals, unless they are up against Pakistan, in which case they will play in Kolkata.
