As demand for tickets rises, four out of Pakistan's nine World Cup matches are already sold out

As demand for tickets rises, four out of Pakistan’s nine World Cup matches are already sold out. Pakistan has the most cricket enthusiasts after India. There is no doubt that a significant number of Pakistani fans will travel to India for the upcoming ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 to watch the matches the Men in Green play. If you didn’t know, Pakistan will play their World Cup games across five different venues in India, as opposed to the other nine teams, who will travel to the same exact number of cities. The excitement and security worries that accompany Pakistan’s visit to India are one of the reasons. One theory is that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was hesitant to play at some of the locations.

The five cities in which Pakistan will compete are Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Chennai. On October 6 Pakistan will play the Netherlands, and on October 10 Sri Lanka will play Pakistan in Hyderabad. On October 14, Pakistan will travel to Ahmedabad to take on India, the tournament’s host nation and archrival.

Pakistan will play Australia on October 20 in Bengaluru before travelling to Chennai to play South Africa on October 27 and Afghanistan on October 23. Then, on October 31, Pakistan will travel to Kolkata to play Bangladesh, and on November 4, they will travel to Bengaluru to play New Zealand. Their final round-robin match will take place on November 11 in Kolkata.

Four of the nine matches that Pakistan plays in a round-robin format have sold out, which is not at all surprising.  The four sold-out matches are Pakistan vs. Australia in Bengaluru, Pakistan vs. New Zealand in the same city, Pakistan vs. Bangladesh in Kolkata, and Pakistan vs. England in the same city.
