Bangladesh and India are meeting at Pune in the 17th game of ICC Men’s ODI Cricket WC 2023. IND won’t be taking BAN for granted so it would going to be a cracker at Pune’s Nehru Stadium. India need to win this game in order to regain the top spot in the ICC Men’s CWC 2023 again.

ICC CWC23 Compaign of BAN & IND

BAN have won only one game out of three in the ICC CWC23. They have been stood victorious against AFG in their first game while lost to NZ and ENG intheir last 2 matches of the ICC WC23. IND and NZ are the only two teams that have been still unbeaten in the tournament. The Indian have defeated PAK, AUS and AFG by a mile in this ICC CWC23. That’s why they are at the 2nd of the ICC CWC23 Points Table just below NZ.

Bangladesh and INdia have met 4 times in the ICC CWC with IND winning 3 while BAN have only one the 1st contest way back in 2007 at Port od Spain. BAN shouldn’t be taken for granted as they have recently beaten IND in the ASIA CUP 2023.  Therefore, it’s going to be a nail-biting thriller in the 16th game of the ICC WC 2023, India.

Toss

The Bangladeshi Skipper together with Indian skipper are down to the middle for the toss. Najmul Hossain Shanto after winning the toss decides to bat first against the host of CW23.On the other hand, Rohit would be happy as he wanted to bowl first on the fresh pitch.

IND keep the same winning combination and make no change in their playing XI. Meanwhile, BAN make 2 changes in their playing 11. Shakib isn’t playing due to his quad injury in the previous game while Taskin is missing out. Nasum Ahmed and Hasun Mahmud join the XI against INDIA.

The Bangla openers: Tanzid Hasan  and Litton Das, are opening the innings for BAN and have got a very good chance to put runs on board agaisnt India in the ICC CWC 2023. Whereas, Jasprit Bumrah and Muhammad Siraj get the ball in hand for the first power play to restrict BAN under a chaseable total16th match of ICC MEN’s ODI CWC 2023.

The Bangladeshi batters give tough times to the IND bowlers as they don’t give them any wicket in the first power play. BAN score 63 for none at of the first power play. Das scores 21 off 30 striking at 70 while Hasan makes 41 off 30 striking at above 136.

India Bowlers give away free and easy runs after the 5th over. The second power play seems helping indian bowlers as they restrict them to 126 from 11-40 and take wickets with regular intervals. BAN lose 5 in these 30 overs and score at 4.20. 

The last power play of the match no 17 of ICC Men’s CWC 2023 also favours the Indian bowlers as they restrict the Bangla Tigers for 256. They continue pickering wickets in the final phase of the innings which put BAN under pressure. BAN grab 67 in the final ten for the loss of 3 wickets. 

IND need 257 in 50 over at 5.14 to register their 4 straight win of CWC23and join NZ in the elite panel. Indian quicks bowl 29.3 overs conceding 168 runs with the economy of 5.69. They pick 5 wickets averaging 33.60.On the other hand, Indian spin attack looks unplayable today as they only give away 87 runs in their 20.3 over with the economy of 4.24. They also pick 3 wickets averaging 29.
