Finally, we have the squad announcement from the Bangladesh Cricket Board. Bangladesh is the last team that has been announced for the upcoming ICC mega event in India. The 15-member squad will land Indian soul under the leadership of the World No.1 ranked all-rounder, Shakib Ul Hassan. Tamim has left out after being requested to take his retirement earlier.
Bangladesh will start their World Cup campaign against Afghanistan on October 7th in Dharamshala. A beautiful venue, but the bad for both the teams is that this wicket will not support spinners a great deal. This might be good for Bangladesh as Afghanistan have some top-class spinners in their squad.

Bangladesh ODI World Cup 2023 squad:
Shakib Al Hasan (Captain), Litton Das (Vice-captain), Najmul Hossain Shanto, Tanzid Hasan, Towhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mehidy Hasan, Mahedi Hasan, Tanzim Sakib, Nasum Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman
Shakib, the all-rounder, will be captaining the side, while Litton Das will work as a Vice Captain. Muhammadullah Riyad is making a comeback, which will be good for the side as he adds experience to the batting lineup. He is a decent spin option as well that can be used wisely.
Two left-arm quickies, Shoriful Islam and Mustafizur Rahman, will make it difficult for their opposition to get away with. Taskin Ahmad and Hasan Muhmud are the right-arm fast bowlers available for the captain to go with. They have a very good spin bowling department, too. So, overall a great prospect for the Bangali Tigers to have a great World Cup in Subcontinent conditions.
