Dale Steyn generates controversy with his remarks about Hasan Ali. Dale Steyn, a veteran in South Africa, complimented pacer Hasan Ali, who was a surprise addition to Pakistan’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 roster.

In an interview with a cricketing website, Dale Steyn expressed his opinions about Hasan Ali’s performance at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. He praised the Pakistani pacer for his solid efforts despite not using fresh deliveries.

He said, “Hassan Ali hasn’t taken the new ball in a while. “It causes problems when you don’t have your regular rapid bowling unit to start the bowling. But when he arrived, he performed a fantastic job.

He made no significant effort to pick up the pace to that 140-145 KMPH range. He used both his line and length quite effectively.

Dale Steyn also praised Hasan Ali for his good humor during matches. He also had a pleasant smile on his face, which I found to be another aspect I liked about him. He seemed to be having fun, to be honest. Things flow a little more easily when you are having fun, he added.

It is important to note that Hasan Ali was chosen as a “forced” replacement for top bowler Naseem Shah in Pakistan’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 team. Due to a shoulder injury, the latter was disqualified from the competition.

The pacer commented on his selection by promising to compete to the best of his skills.

“Shukr Allahu akbar! To be able to represent my country at the World Cup is an experience that cannot be described. Insha’Allah, I’ll do everything in my power for Pakistan. Please keep our team and I in your prayers. A special gratitude goes out to my fans for their unwavering support, he added.

At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday, Babar Azam’s team defeated the Netherlands by 81 runs to get their campaign off to a winning start.

On October 10, the team’s second game will be played at the same location against the 1996 World Cup champions Sri Lanka.
