ICC Cricket World Cup 2023’s Warm-up match between England and Bangladesh is being played in Guwahait, notorious for its unpredictable weather. The underdogs, Bangladesh, have won the toss and decided to bat first against England for testing their batting orders in this ICC WC 2023’s Warm up game.  

The 2nd last day of the Warm-up phase kicks start with Bangla Opener, Tanzid Hasan & Litton Das taking on English pace attack Reece Toplay & Sam Curren. Travelling-frustrated English bowlers came out to get over Tanzid and Das. But, they started horribly as Left-handed batter, Tanzid, was blessed with 2 consecutive Free-hits straightaway. Bangladesh got a flying start as they gathered 18 in first 2 overs of the warm-up game of ICC ODI Worrldcup 2023, both left-arm fast bowlers looked offcolour in their opening overs but their comeback was also remarkable.

Reece Toplay toppled Das in his 2nd over as he was trapped behind the stumps when Bangladesh were 18 in 2.1.Next came Najmul Hossain Shanto who was totally between the devil and the deep sea while facing the giant Toplay. Shanto also went for 2 off 11 in the 5th over and Reece Toplay got his man to deep third man. Bangladesh were 26 for 2 as half of the powerplay has already gone.

Meanwhile, Mehidy Hasan Miraz joined well-settled Tanzid for rebuilding the inning. Likewise, another left-arm medium fast, David Willey replaced Toplay in the 7th over and Chris Woakes came in place of Curren in the 8th over to further damage the Tigers. 

Summarily, Reece Topley was the pick of the bowlers who gave away 18 in his 3 overs taking away 2 crucial wickets with the economy of 6.0.  On the other hand, Tanzid Hasan proved his selection right by scoring 30 off 30 striking 100 in the first powerplay of the warm-up ICC Men’s ODI CWC 2023. Bangladesh manage to score 47/2 in the mandatory powerplay.
