Former business partners filed a defamation case against MS Dhoni; the hearing is scheduled on January 18.Former Indian cricket player MS Dhoni is dealing with a defamation lawsuit brought by Soumya Das and Mihir Diwakar, his former business partner.

The Delhi High Court action seeks to stop Dhoni and his representatives from bringing up false accusations. A 2017 contract between Dhoni and Aarka Sports Management, a business owned by Diwakar and Das, is the source of the dispute.

Dhoni and Aarka Sports Management entered into a deal to open cricket academies in India and other countries. The case, whose hearing is planned for January 18, alleges that Dhoni has spoken disparagingly about the owners and that they have defrauded him of around 15 crore by neglecting to establish the cricket academies by the prearranged deadline.

Diwakar and Das broke the terms of the 2017 contract, according to Dhoni’s counter-allegation. He said that because they didn’t do what they were supposed to, there was a financial loss. But according to Diwakar, Dayanand Shamra, Dhoni’s attorney, held a news conference and said disparaging things before the court’s ruling.
