Hasan Ali talks about his teammates being sick before their match against Australia. Pakistan’s bowler Hasan Ali disclosed on Thursday that his team members were experiencing motion sickness while in Bangalore for their 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup encounter against Australia at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Six Pakistani players Abdullah Shafique, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Rizwan, Agha Salman, and reserve players Muhammad Haris and Zaman Khan were reportedly ill and feverish prior to the pivotal game on Tuesday.

They were all medically cleared to participate in the workouts, with the exception of Muhammad Haris.In a news conference held prior to the match against Australia, Hasan Ali discussed the situation in detail. According to him, his teammates are stuck in their hotel.

“Yes, the majority of the players are over their fever, but living in a hotel room causes room sickness,” he remarked.

Furthermore, Hasan Ali stated that when they venture outside their hotel, a whole security squad escorts them.

He remarked, “The hospitality is good and we are well taken care of, but security is an issue, so we cannot go outside and we have to tell the security before going out.”

Pakistan is now ranked fourth and has a chance to go to the semifinals. Thus far, they have four points. At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Babar Azam’s team defeated the Netherlands by 81 runs to start the match on a positive note. At the same location, they defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets.

Their lone loss came at the hands of India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, when they were defeated by seven wickets.

With two points from three games, Australia, on the other side, is now ranked seventh in the standings.
