ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: Pakistani team does not enjoy with Babar Azam, Shadab Khan’s Shocking Disclosure Builds a Huge Wall. Pakistan’s participation in the 2023 Asian Cup came to a sad conclusion. After a dominant 3-0 victory over Afghanistan, the Babar Azam-led team qualified for the match as the best ODI team in the world.

They had a successful start to their Asia Cup campaign. The Babar Azam-led team defeated Nepal by a massive margin of 238 runs before outperforming Pakistan with their bowling in the postponed match. They recorded another resounding victory against Bangladesh in the Super 4 contest.

But following their victory over Bangladesh, everything for them started to go south. India defeated Pakistan by 228 runs, a humiliating defeat. They failed to contain 252 runs in 42 overs in the crucial encounter against Sri Lanka, losing by two wickets and exiting the Asia Cup 2023.

Reports of unrest in the Pakistan team‘s dressing room surfaced soon after they left the Asia Cup. After the team’s loss against Sri Lanka, captain Babar Azam reportedly got into a verbal fight with pace bowler Shaheen Afridi as the latter addressed the group. According to reports, Mohammad Rizwan had to intervene in order to stabilize the situation.

Shadab Khan, a leg-spinner for Pakistan, recently said something unexpected about Babar Azam’s captaincy. The spinner has admitted that while they do not particularly love Babar Azam’s leadership on the field, they have no issues with him off it. Babar Azam’s personality dramatically changes when he enters the pitch as captain, according to the vice-captain of Pakistan.

Shadab was quoted by Cricket Pakistan as saying, “We don’t really enjoy with Babar on the field because he is a different person altogether over there, but we do enjoy with him off the field.”
