Mohammad Rizwan highlights the area of improvement for Pakistan in coming World Cup matches. The 18th match of the ICC World Cup 2023 between Australia and Pakistan is scheduled to take place on October 20 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, India.

Prior to a crucial match, Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan’s wicketkeeper batsman, made an opening statement in which he stated that every game matters.

In a video issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Rizwan stated, “Every World Cup match is crucial and challenging because if a team is playing in the World Cup, if you look at Afghanistan, the Netherlands, or Bangladesh, all of them came here after achieving something.”

“Every game matters to us, and we are excited to take on Australia in this challenge.” The 31-year-old went on to say that the Green Shirts must improvement in their knowledge of the game.

“It’s not like we’ve never won; sure, we lost to India, but we also defeated them twice. Winning and losing are just aspects of the game.”

“I believe we will need to examine our  awareness in our next games. Looking at all of these factors, I think our squad has excellent skill sets not that we are inferior to any other team in the world, but awareness is something we need to focus on.

He continued, “I think that when it comes to awareness, fielding is the most crucial aspect. We’ll figure out how to cover the main spot when necessary.”

Recall that Australia defeated Sri Lanka by five wickets after suffering two straight losses to regain much-needed confidence ahead of their match against the Green Shirts.

However, in the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 14, Pakistan, having won their previous two matches against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka, was defeated by India by seven wickets in a lopsided fashion.
