Real Madrid is anticipating another financial injection thanks to a transfer deal involving their La Liga rivals, Elche. This comes as striker Álvaro Rodríguez is reportedly on the brink of a move to the Premier League, with Bournemouth being the interested party.
Rodríguez, a 21-year-old who emerged from Real Madrid’s academy, had a standout season in 2025/26. He played a crucial role for Elche, contributing an impressive 12 goal involvements in La Liga. His performance did not go unnoticed in England, and Bournemouth has been heavily linked with a move for him.
According to a report from The Athletic, Bournemouth is in advanced negotiations to sign the Elche forward. The proposed deal is valued at €30 million, comprising a €25 million fixed fee and an additional €5 million in bonuses. The young academy graduate is reportedly close to agreeing to a five-year contract.
However, Elche will be required to immediately transfer half of the acquisition fee to Real Madrid. This is due to a sell-on clause that was part of the agreement when Rodríguez joined Elche last summer. Consequently, Real Madrid is expected to receive an initial sum of €12.5 million from this transfer.
