Per Monviso e Trento colpi esterni nella prima giornata

October 5, 2026Carlos Mendoza21 мин

The opening day of the season saw four 3-0 sweeps. Cbl Costa Volpino and Nuvolì Altafratte Padova secured home victories. Coach Cominetti's Orobiche team defeated Sigel Seap Marsala, faltering only in the third set, which they won 26-24 after two convincing sets ending 18-17. Viscioni, playing opposite in Krasteva's absence, scored 21 points and earned MVP honors. In Trebaseleghe, last season's promotion playoff finalists faced a tougher challenge against Narconon Volley Melendugno, but thanks to 15 points from Mazzon and 14 from Fiorio, they clinched the match 25-20, 25-23, and 25-17.

Wash4Green Monviso Volley and Itas Trentino conquered the courts of Tenaglia Altino Avastese Volley and Trasporti Bressan Offanengo without conceding a single set. After winning the first set in deuce (24-26), coach Giovi's team limited their opponents to 18 points in the subsequent two sets. Pistolesi and Farina stood out with 18 and 13 points respectively; the former added 3 aces and 2 blocks, while the latter delivered 2 service points and 6 winning blocks. At PalaCoim, coach Beltrami's young Trentino squad showed character, overcoming the black-and-green team coached by Aime with set scores of 22-25, 16-25, and 20-25. Young Susio shone particularly bright, putting down 18 balls with 59% efficiency.

The match between Panbiscò Leonessa Altamura and the new Caldaie Melgari VBC Cremonese was more closely contested. The Pugliese team needed two and a half hours to secure three points with a 3-1 victory. The game opened with a 25-21 win for the home team, followed by an away equalizer in a long deuce set at 28-30. The home team's distribution by captain Caracuta, showcasing experience and composure, tipped the scales. Madan (22 points), Svobodova (18), Arciprete (17), and Pulliero (13) all reached double digits, securing three points for coach Dell’Anna with final set scores of 25-21 and 27-25. Nevertheless, coach Baraldi found positive signs, especially from the returning Populini (13) and Loda (14).

Finally, the match at PalaRuggi concluded dramatically, with Clai Imola Volley defeating Club Italia in a tie-break that will likely be remembered. Before reaching that point, it's worth recounting a well-played match by both teams. On one side, the experience of the home team, who after dropping the first set 22-25, equalized decisively in the second (25-19) and then mounted a significant comeback, winning the third set 26-24 from 18-21 down. On the other, the technical and mental freshness of coach Cichello's young Azzurrine, who were decidedly more prepared and skilled than last year. Beyond the "veterans," Tosini (22 points), Solovei (17), and Caruso (16) impressed, as did the talented setter Hernandez and middle blockers Feriozzi and Savioli, who combined for 11 blocks. These qualities not only allowed the federal team to level the match with an 18-25 win in the fourth set but also to lead 4-12 in the decisive tie-break. From there, something shifted, and the game entered the realm of the unpredictable. It was there that coach Gazzotti's team, led by veteran Ortolani (23) and the composed Esposito (7 points in the set out of 9 total, coming in for the strong Zolota who scored 18 points) and Orlandi (16), not only recovered an 8-point deficit but also pushed for a fifth set that defied logic, reaching 22-20. A result simply unthinkable minutes before, which sent the Imola crowd into a frenzy.

Panbiscò Leonessa Altamura - Caldaie Melgari VBC Cremonese

Caldaie Melgari VBC Cremonese returns without points from PalaBaldassarra in Altamura after an opening match that was tricky on paper but where spirit and effort were not lacking. In the hot arena of Altamura, Panbiscò Leonessa took all the points, despite a patient VBC that managed to react even in difficult moments. Four players on each side finished in double digits. On one side, the match's top scorer Dezirett Madan Rosales finished with 22 points, complemented by 18 from Svobodova, 17 from Arciprete, and 13 from Pulliero. VBC's 14 points from Sara Loda, 13 from captain Populini, 12 from Nwokoye, and 10 from Calkins, along with a positive contribution from Mescoli, were not enough. A great duel also occurred between the liberos Biagini (34% positive reception) and Gambini (36%) directing the back line. The teams were balanced in attack (39%-35%), Altamura had the edge in blocking (12-9), and VBC responded with a better service differential (-10, -4).

C.B.L. Costa Volpino - Sigel Seap Marsala Volley

A debut to remember for CBL Costa Volpino, who inaugurated their season in the best possible way in front of their home crowd and immediately sent an important signal to the league. The Bergamo team defeated Marsala with a clear and authoritative 3-0 victory, after a match conducted with personality, technical quality, and great consistency. A strong collective performance saw coach Cominetti's team demonstrate maturity in handling even the most delicate moments of the match.

CBL faced this match under less-than-ideal conditions. The absence of the unavailable Krasteva forced Cominetti to reshuffle the lineup and redesign the starting six, giving Viscioni a starting spot at opposite. This choice proved decidedly successful: the opposite player responded from the first exchanges and, as the minutes passed, became one of the evening's main protagonists.

The start of the first set was characterized by substantial balance. Costa Volpino and Marsala studied each other, exchanging blows until 5-5. It was at that moment, however, that the home team shifted gears. CBL increased their serving pressure, found more consistency in the break phase, and made the first significant run of the match, leading 8-5 and immediately forcing the Sicilian bench to call a timeout.

The suspension did not alter the set's momentum. The Bergamo team continued to serve effectively, maintained order in their block-defense correlation, and crucially, conceded very few unforced errors. Marsala tried to hang on to the set, but Costa Volpino dictated the rhythm and progressively increased their lead: first to 15-11, then to 18-13, with the visitors constantly chasing.

Coach Guadalupi sought new solutions, including double substitutions, in an attempt to give his team more impact, but CBL remained unfazed. The home team confidently managed their accumulated lead and reached the end without allowing a comeback. Talarico put the exclamation point on the first set with a powerful and precise quick attack, securing a 25-18 win and electrifying the home crowd.

The second set initially followed a very similar pattern. Marsala attempted to react, but once again, Costa Volpino found the decisive acceleration first. From initial balance, the Bergamo team quickly moved to an 8-5 lead, particularly driven by the powerful spikes of Talarico, who was increasingly prominent at the net.

The pressure exerted by CBL began to take its toll on the Sicilian reception. Marsala struggled to build their game consistently, and consequently, their offensive options became more predictable. On the other side of the net, Costa Volpino played with great fluidity: the back row provided balance, the distribution kept various attacking options involved, and the block-defense allowed the home team to convert numerous opportunities into points.

The gap grew rapidly, and the scoreboard showed an eloquent 20-12. CBL never lowered their intensity, avoiding those lapses in concentration that can often reopen seemingly decided sets. Instead, the Bergamo team continued to push until the final ball, closing the second set with great confidence. The inspired Viscioni put down the ball for the 25-17 win, capping another high-level personal performance and putting Costa Volpino up 2-0.

With their backs against the wall, Marsala tried to change their approach in the third set. The visitors rearranged their lineup with the introduction of Nonnati and found new energy, especially thanks to number 26 Bole, who managed to trouble the Bergamo defense. For the first time in the evening, the Sicilians took the initiative decisively, managing to lead 5-7.

This was the most delicate moment of the match for Costa Volpino, and Cominetti immediately decided to stop the game. The timeout produced the desired effect. CBL returned to the court with a completely different attitude and reacted like a mature team: they regained order, aggression, and composure, quickly recovering the deficit and taking the lead at 8-7.

From that moment, the third set changed completely. Marsala, aware they were playing their last chance to prolong the match, raised their level of play and no longer let the home team pull away. Costa Volpino, for their part, couldn't build the same margin as in the first two sets but showed great mental fortitude to stay within the set.

This led to a high-tension finale, played point by point. Sassolini and Bole tried to drive Marsala towards reopening the match, while CBL responded with order and determination. Every ball took on enormous significance, and the home crowd enthusiastically supported the final exchanges of a suddenly incandescent game.

As the set entered its decisive phase, Viscioni once again took center stage. Called upon to bear significant responsibility on a night born out of emergency, the opposite player responded with coolness and personality: in the moments when the ball carried the most weight, she did not falter, finding the points that allowed CBL to fend off the Sicilians' final assault.

The set went into deuce, and there Costa Volpino definitively showed they had something extra. The Bergamo team maintained composure and aggression, while Viscioni completed her great evening by delivering the decisive points. The 26-24 win ignited the celebration on the home court and handed CBL a deserved 3-0 victory.

A clear result, but above all, a convincing performance in many aspects. Costa Volpino managed to control the game for long stretches, apply pressure with their serves, limit errors, and find important responses from the entire starting six. Even more significant was how the Bergamo team reacted to the difficulties in the third set, when Marsala proudly tried to change the momentum of the match.

Coach Cominetti thus earns three points and numerous positive indications. The absence of Krasteva could have been a significant unknown, but the team managed to pull together and find new solutions, with Viscioni transforming the opportunity into a leading performance. Talarico made her presence felt at the middle, while the entire collective showed solidity and character.

CBL Costa Volpino's championship thus begins in the best way: a full victory, in front of their home crowd, built through quality, intensity, and team spirit. The 3-0 win over Marsala represents the first step of the new season and, above all, a great boost of confidence for a group that has already shown they have the character and solutions to face even the most complicated situations.

Clai Imola Volley - Club Italia

Club Italia secures a point in their first LVF A2 Fineco away match, falling in a tie-break against Clai Imola Volley after an epic contest that was only decided in the extended deuce of the fifth set.

A true battle, reflecting a level of play significantly more advanced than expected from a very young team like Club Italia, which saw 11 out of 14 players change compared to last season. However, there remains a touch of bitterness regarding the tie-break's outcome, during which two sides of the team were evident: the one capable of overwhelming opponents in the initial phase (0-5 and 1-7 respectively) and the one that allowed Clai Imola Volley's incredible comeback.

The home team not only refused to give up but also went on a nine-consecutive-point run with Sofia Cavalli serving: from 4-12, they took a 13-12 lead, eventually closing the tie-break 22-20 after a true battle of defense and decisive attacks.

While unfortunate for the federal project's players, the awareness remains that Club Italia is present and can compete fully in this Serie A2, growing game by game.

Top scorer of the day was Ludovica Tosini, who put down 24 points (Solovei not far behind with 21), while the team's 21 blocks by coach Juan Cichello's players stand out, with 7 from Giulia Savioli and 4 from Letizia Feriozzi. On the Clai Imola side, Bianca Orlandi, MVP of the match, had an excellent game, scoring 19 points with 41% attack efficiency, but Asja Zolota also deserves mention, coming off the bench with great grit (20 points for her).

Club Italia started strong: Feriozzi at middle and Tosini in attack secured the 0-2 lead, then Tosini, with a great block on Ortolani, put down the point for 1-5. Imola attempted to close the gap, and Bergese's spike made it -2, but Club Italia took an 5-8 lead thanks to Caruso's block on Colzi. Esposito's ace brought Clai to 9-10, before Solovei restored the +2 lead. Imola found parity at 12-12 with Bergese's block on Tosini, but Club Italia restarted: Solovei scored 14-16, and Stella Caruso, with three consecutive attacks played calmly and patiently, put the federal project's girls up 14-17. Imola called a timeout at 14-17 and again at 14-20. Asja Zolota came in for Lisa Esposito, and Clai managed to recover to 17-20. In Club Italia, Caruso exited and Giulì entered as an added libero. At 20-23, Cichello stopped play; a Solovei error brought Imola back to within 2 points at 21-23, but it was the Club Italia opposite who ended the set: 22-25 for Club Italia.

The second set opened with Caruso's ace for 1-1, while Zolota's pipe, entering the game well, gave Imola a 4-3 lead. Tosini found parity at 6-6, and a service error by Chiara Bergese sent Club Italia ahead 7-8. Clai attempted to pull away, and at 10-8, a timeout was called. The reaction from Cichello's girls was immediate: a 3-0 run and a 10-11 lead. Zolota put Imola back ahead at 13-11, then Bergese's winning block made it 16-13. At 17-14, Cichello called a timeout, and Solovei responded with two consecutive points for 17-15. Cichello also tried a double substitution with Andrea Carlotta Monetti and Alexandra Baleva, while for Clai, Chiara Adorni entered to serve for Bergese. In Club Italia, Giulia Faleschini also came in for Caruso. At the end, Feriozzi scored 23-19, before Bianca Orlandi's final point: 25-19 for Imola and 1-1 in sets.

Club Italia scored the first point of the third set thanks to Bianca Orlandi's error, who later redeemed herself with a 2-2 score. Savioli's winning block made it 3-4, but Zolota rose high and put down the ball for 7-5. Imola tried to extend their lead, and at 11-7, Cichello called a timeout. At 10-12, there was a heated video check, then Solovei scored the 12-12 point. Club Italia completed the comeback, and at 12-13, Gazzotti stopped play. The Federation's players took the lead thanks to another error by Bianca Orlandi, who tried to hit the block but missed. Clai changed pace again and took a 20-17 lead. Faleschini, substituting for Caruso, scored a block-out for 20-19, then Cornelli defended everything, and Solovei completed the comeback with a 20-20 point. Gazzotti called a timeout. The end of the set was played point by point, with Zolota and Solovei being protagonists until 23-22. At 24-22, Cichello used a double substitution with Baleva and Monetti, and Club Italia managed to nullify the lead, bringing it to 24-24. In the end, however, Imola prevailed: Bianca Orlandi's attack closed the set 26-24 for Clai, giving them a 2-1 lead.

Immediately at the start, Zolota was stopped by a block, while Solovei scored the Club Italia +2 lead at 2-4. Hernandez's block on Bergese made it 5-7, then Solovei's ace extended the lead to +3. Caruso put the ball down for 7-10. Club Italia continued to push: Solovei in attack and Feriozzi at block brought the score to 9-13, then Tosini scored another winning block for +5. Gazzotti made changes: Cavalli and Zolota out, Esposito and Foresi in. Clai's attacking errors allowed Cichello's team to extend their lead to 10-16.

The Club Italia bench resorted to a double substitution with Baleva and Monetti for Hernandez and Solovei. Caruso and her teammates maintained firm control of the set, extending the lead to 12-19. Gazzotti also brought in Fabbri for Bergese, without managing to reopen the set. Club Italia thus took the match to a tie-break: Ada Fabbri's middle error gave the opponents the 18-25 win and leveled the sets at 2-2.

Club Italia started very strong: immediately 0-5, then 1-7. Imola seemed stalled, while the Azzurrine still had energy, especially mental. At the changeover, the score was 2-8. Club Italia continued to push, and at 3-10, Savioli's great block on Esposito occurred. Gazzotti called a timeout, but Ada Fabbri's service error brought Cichello's girls to 4-12. Giulia Voerzio also saw playing time. However, just when the tie-break seemed decided, the game completely changed. Club Italia's attacks stopped going in, and Imola began to recover: from 8-12, it became 9-12, forcing Cichello to call a timeout. Clai gained more belief and completed an incredible comeback: from 4-12 to 10-12, then 11-12. Solovei stepped on the line, making it 12-12, then Esposito scored for a 13-12 lead: a 9-0 run for Imola, still with Sofia Cavalli serving.

Caruso broke the streak with a tip-out for 13-13 and repeated immediately for a 14-13 lead. Ortolani equalized, Feriozzi blocked the same Ortolani for 14-15, but Tosini sent the ball out for 15-15. Bianca Orlandi scored for 16-15, and Tosini responded for 16-16. The game continued in deuce, with Club Italia regaining the lead at 16-17. The match continued point by point until 18-18. Hernandez scored a block for 19-20, but Imola managed once again to turn the tide and close with Colzi: 22-20. Clai won the tie-break and the match 3-2.

Nuvolì Altafratte Padova - Narconon Volley Melendugno

Narconon had the better start, primarily through their service, followed by blocks and defense, taking a 1-4 lead and maintaining a +3 advantage until 3-6. Nuvolì then shook off the nerves of their "first" match in Trebaseleghe and began to find their rhythm. The 10-10 equalizer boosted the yellow-and-blue team's prospects as they started finding the Lecce taraflex with Bovo, Fiorio, and Mazzon. Gradually, the gap widened, from Bovo's first-tempo attack at 18-14 to Fiorio's block at 23-18, and finally, Catania's quick attack secured the 25-20 win.

Nuvolì was on fire at the start of the second set, with an exceptional Fiorio leading the yellow-and-blue attack. Twice, Catania was sharp on long Lecce receptions at 14-8, and coach Giunta stopped play at 15-8. The visitors felt the impact of the timeout and began their comeback through Ljewska and Novello (who replaced Perfetto). A set that seemed decided reopened to 24-23, with Mazzon and Fiorio managing to contain the visitors' comeback. The Piedmontese player closed the set with a diagonal spike, securing a 25-23 win in a set where the improvement in Nuvolì's first touch was noticeable.

Nuvolì started the third set strongly at 12-8 with the usual Mazzon and Fiorio, but especially with an attack that yielded fewer errors than the visitors'. The third set was the least balanced, with the yellow-and-blue team taking the lead and never looking back. Narconon relied on Malik and climbed back to 23-16 when coach Sinibaldi stopped play, and the Lecce team's comeback. Mason's tight diagonal attack closed the set at 25-17.

Nuvolì AltaFratte Padova began the new season in the best way, beating Narconon Volley Melendugno, who remained in contention for the first two sets. The visitors had the better start, but when Nuvolì found better reception and their rhythm, Mazzon and Fiorio (MVP) were the main architects of Padova's first success of the 2026-27 season.

Tenaglia Altino Avastese Volley - Wash4Green Monviso Volley

A good start for Wash4Green Monviso Volley, who conquered Pala Bcc in Vasto, winning 3-0 against Tenaglia Altino Avastese Volley. Ricci and her teammates maintained control of the game throughout, conceding very little to the home team, who were constantly chasing. Coach Giovi fielded Pistolesi opposite Enneking, Farina and Parini at middle, Ricci setting, Lazda opposite, and Ribechi in defense. During the match, Bucciarelli replaced Enneking, and Cicogna showed her skills at the service and in attack towards the end. The yellow-and-blue team performed well in every fundamental, blocking 10 points to the home team's 7. From the nine-meter line, they scored 7 direct points against the opponents' 5, and in reception, Ribechi was a guarantee, finishing with 80% efficiency. Top scorer Pistolesi had 18 points, with Ricci relying on her for important plays. At middle, Farina finished with 6 blocks (13 total points), and the MVP award went to a brilliant Bucciarelli.

Wash4Green started well, with Pistolesi serving to take an early 0-4 lead. Tonello scored the home team's first point with a quick attack. The visitors defended their lead until 6-9, then Altino capitalized on two opponent errors, and Riva's tip-out tied it at 9-9. Pistolesi again put her team ahead (10-13), but Tenaglia Altino fought back with a block on Lazda (14-14). Monviso re-established a lead (14-18), followed by the Abruzzese team, who showed no signs of giving up. Stival's serve brought her teammates within 1 point (20-21), but it was Pistolesi who made the difference again, securing set point (21-24). Altino didn't give up, forcing deuce (24-24), then two attacks from Lazda narrowly closed the set at 24-26.

As in the first set, Monviso started the second set on the right foot (1-4). Coach Tortorici immediately stopped play. Riva missed the court, and Monviso extended their lead to +5 (2-7). Lazda's attack failed, then Farina's block stopped Farelli for 6-9. Pistolesi played well off the block, and a Tonello error gifted them an 8-13 lead. The home team tried to close the gap, reaching -2 (11-13), but Pistolesi's line shot brought the ball back into the opponent's half. Parini blocked Omonoyan, and Ndoye went out of bounds (11-16). Ricci and her teammates defended their lead without giving the opponents any more space, closing the set comfortably at 18-25.

Wash4Green repeated their strong start in the third set, leading 1-4. Farina from the nine-meter line defended the lead (4-8), but Riva closed the gap, and Parini's error resulted in a 10-10 tie. Pistolesi scored the side-out with a tip into the middle of the court (10-11). Cicogna, who came in for Lazda, delivered a good service run, putting Monviso up by +3 (11-14). From there, the Piedmontese team imposed their rhythm, aiming for the target and achieving it with an 18-25 win.

Trasporti Bressan Offanengo - Itas Trentino

Itas Trentino opens the 2026/27 season in the best way possible. On the court of Trasporti Bressan Offanengo, the yellow-and-blue team needed only three sets to secure the first three points of the year, a match conducted with personality by coach Beltrami's squad. An excellent team attack percentage (50%), combined with few errors throughout the match (14 compared to the opponents' 28), proved to be decisive factors in dominating the PalaCoim match, with only the first set remaining contested until the final rallies. After winning the first set with a strong final sprint, Itas Trentino relaxed and dominated the following two, securing a 3-0 away victory thanks to 18 points from Martina Susio, unstoppable in attack (62% efficiency) and named MVP of the match. Frelih (11 points with 47% efficiency) and Pamio (12 points with 55% hitting efficiency) also reached double digits, while on the Trasporti Bressan side, Taborelli (12 points) and Visentin (13 points) were the last to concede.

For the first official match of the new season, coach Beltrami initially relied on the summer-planned lineup, with Monza setting, Frelih opposite, Susio and Pamio on the left and right pins, Bovolenta and Sismondi at middle, and Laporta libero. Emanuele Aime, Trasporti Bressan's coach, responded with Magnabosco at setter, Taborelli opposite, former player Jessica Joly and Visentin on the pins, Campagnolo and Martinelli at middle, and Feduzzi libero.

Complimented by some attacking inaccuracies from Offanengo, the first run of the game was by the yellow-and-blue team, with Frelih's tip securing a +3 lead (4-7). Trasporti Bressan quickly got back on track (8-8), and in the central phase of the set, neither team could gain the upper hand, with Susio and Frelih responding to the sparks from Visentin and Taborelli (18-17). Beltrami used both his discretionary timeouts and brought in Ristori Tomberli for Pamio, but Susio continued to be the main attacking reference for Monza (18-19).

In the final stages, Itas Trentino accelerated: Frelih's diagonal made it 21-23, Taborelli's service error brought the yellow-and-blue team closer to the finish line, which was crossed thanks to Bovolenta's decisive block on Visentin's diagonal (22-25).

Trento approached the second set better again, with Aime forced to stop play at 3-6 after Frelih's tip. The visiting block-defense system contained the home attackers, and the reconstructions involving Susio, Sismondi, and Frelih propelled Beltrami's squad to a +6 lead (9-15), capitalizing fully on Bovolenta's long service run. It was from the nine-meter line that Susio delivered an +8 lead from service (11-19). Offanengo attempted a reaction with Visentin's positive service run (15-20), but Pamio, with two consecutive attacks, brought Trento back to a safe distance (15-22). The end was downhill for Itas, who secured set point at 15-24 with an ace from Frelih and doubled their lead thanks to Pedrolli's service error (16-25).

The start of the third set was decidedly more balanced (7-7), where three consecutive errors by the home team broke the uncertainty and gave Trento a valuable +3 lead (7-10). Martinelli's block was effectively Offanengo's last real surge (10-12), as Pamio took charge and, with two blocks and two quick attacks, pushed the yellow-and-blue team to 10-15 and then 13-18. Trasporti Bressan tried to keep the set alive (17-20), but Susio disagreed and, with two powerful and precise attacks, brought Itas closer to the finish line (18-22). Frelih's strike from position 2 secured Itas Trentino their first three points of the season (20-25).
