Shane Watson picks its finalists for ICC Cricket World Cup 2023

Shane Watson picks his finalists for ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The opening match of the ODI World Cup 2023 will be played on October 5 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium between reigning champion England and New Zealand. All of the teams are currently polishing up their preparations for the forthcoming 50-over match.

The great of the game and former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has chosen his two teams that may face off in the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup final. Watson predicts an exciting India vs. Australia final in the event taking place in India. He claimed that Australia was renowned for upping the standard during the major competition.

The 42-year-old also commended the Indian team, highlighting their superb bowling performance and solid top-order batting. Watson shared his opinion that India has the ability to win the event because of their home field advantage and strong team, particularly in the top order.

Shane Watson stated, “With the caliber of players Australia has, I’m definitely going to support them,” in an interview with Star Sport for their special program “Mission World Cup.” They obviously know how to step up in these big games, but they do have a few questions going into the 2023 World Cup. “And India, being at home, would know the conditions better than anyone, and their bowlers are clearly on fire right now,” he continued. India can therefore undoubtedly win the game with their firepower, especially with their top order. Australia and India would therefore make a fantastic final, in my opinion.

Not to be forgotten, on October 8 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium, India and Australia will compete in their maiden ICC ODI World Cup encounter.

Both teams are now facing off in a three-match ODI series. On September 22, the men in blue defeated the Australians by five wickets in the tournament’s opening match, gaining a 1-0 lead.
