Barcelona Secures €3 Million in Funds Following Goalkeeper’s Transfer

La Liga champions Barcelona have finalized a deal to transfer one of their goalkeepers. The club has reached a definitive agreement with Greek outfit Panathinaikos for the transfer of Iñaki Peña.

Peña is returning from a loan spell with La Liga rivals Elche, where he made 16 appearances in Spain’s top flight, though his last match was in early February. His performances apparently convinced Panathinaikos to make him their number one goalkeeper in Athens.

According to market insider Matteo Moretto, “Iñaki Peña to Panathinaikos is closed. The goalkeeper will sign a three-year contract with an option for a fourth year. Barcelona will receive approximately 3 million euros.”
