England will be one of the favourites to win the World Cup as the defending champions. They have set a new standard in one-day internationals, and their reckless style of cricket distinguishes them from the other sides.

With the World Cup only a few months away, they have received a huge boost as star bowler Jofra Archer is expected to be fully healthy for the ICC World Cup 2023, according to the BBC. The bowler has missed a lot of cricket owing to an elbow ailment, and he hasn’t played regularly in almost two years.

Jofra Archer’s elbow ailment flared up during England’s 2021 tour to India. Following surgery and rehabilitation, he struggled with his elbow again due to the return of a stress fracture in his right elbow.

Jofra Archer did not play in the IPL 2021 and 2022, as well as the T20 World Cups in 2021 and 2022, and he did not play in the Ashes 2021-22. In January 2023, he returned to action against South Africa, and he also appeared in a couple IPL games. But his elbow flared up again, and he was forced to withdraw from the event.

It was believed that he would recover in time for the Ashes in 2023, but he has been ruled out of the entire English summer. However, he has been healing well, and the ECB is optimistic about his participation in the World Cup.
