Barcelona’s rising star, Lamine Yamal, has publicly acknowledged Real Madrid’s Vinícius Jr. as one of the most impressive players at the current World Cup. The 25-year-old Brazilian winger is enjoying a resurgence in form on the international stage.
Vinícius Jr. has been a key player for Brazil in their journey to the Round of 16, scoring four goals and providing an assist in their four matches so far. His contributions have not been limited to offense; his commitment and work rate off the ball have also drawn significant praise.
In a recent interview with COPE, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, the 18-year-old Yamal expressed his admiration for the Real Madrid attacker. He also singled out Argentina’s talisman Lionel Messi and Morocco’s breakout star Ismael Saibari as other notable performers in the tournament.
Yamal stated, “Vini Jr. for sure, then obviously there’s Messi… Then let me mention Ismael Saibari, he’s doing great for Morocco.”
Lamine Yamal himself is preparing to represent Spain in their upcoming Round of 32 World Cup fixture against Austria on Thursday evening.
