Shadab also discussed Pakistan’s preparation, the team’s mental toughness, and the team’s preparations for particular batters.
The 24-year-old Shadab voiced his wish for India to win the World Cup because he knew how much it would mean to both the team and the nation as a whole.
“India winning the World Cup would be the cherry on top. We will have to play against every team; it’s a great opportunity for all the teams, Shadab said while chatting to a local cricket pundit. “Obviously, whichever team comes, they will come to win the tournament, but the key is how you as a team play and how you start,” Shadab said.
He also mentioned the difficulty of the Indian crowd’s lack of support and said the players will need to be mentally tough.
“In India, the fan support won’t be there. In that regard, mental fortitude will be essential. I believe we’ll have a successful tournament given how mentally tough our players are,” he remarked.
He claimed that Pakistan does not have a plan for particular batters. “Virat Kohli is not the subject of any specific strategy. Everyone has a similar strategy for opposing batters: bowl in the appropriate spots and wait for the batsman to make a mistake.
The Cricket World Cup’s most anticipated game will take place between India and Pakistan on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the largest stadium in the world with a capacity of 132,000.
One wouldn’t want to discuss the Men in Green’s World Cup record against the Blues because the former had dropped seven of the seven games against the latter, including an embarrassing semi-final loss in the 2011 World Cup in Mohali.
