A second player from Barcelona’s senior squad has voiced support for the club’s pursuit of Julián Álvarez during the summer transfer window.
This endorsement comes amid ongoing speculation that the Argentine striker could be on his way to Camp Nou.
Álvarez is reportedly Barcelona’s primary target to succeed Robert Lewandowski next season. However, negotiations with Atlético Madrid, who are keen to retain their star scorer, are expected to be protracted throughout the summer.
Marc Bernal, a member of Hansi Flick’s current squad, has indicated he would be pleased to have Álvarez as a teammate.
Following Gavi’s public endorsement of a move for the World Cup winner on Friday, his midfield partner Bernal echoed the sentiment a day later.
When asked about a player he would wish to sign for Barcelona this summer if given the opportunity, the young Bernal stated, “Julián Álvarez!”
