Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has received a golden ticket to the 2023 Cricket World Cup from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The announcement was made today by the cricket board on its official X (previously Twitter) handle.
Golden ticket for our golden icons, BCCI wrote on X. The “Superstar of the Millennium,” Shri@SrBachchan, was the recipient of our golden ticket from BCCI Honorary Secretary@JayShah.
“Shri Bachchan, a legendary actor and ardent cricket fan, continues to inspire us all with his unwavering support for #TeamIndia. We’re overjoyed to have him join us for the 2023 Cricket World Cup, according to the BCCI.
Additionally, the board today unveiled the India World Cup roster. The Indian cricket team for the World Cup includes captain Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Axar Patel, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav.
