India’s team won’t face Pakistan in a different Jeresy duringthe ICC World Cup 2023, according to an official. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) honorary treasurer, Ashish Shelar, said on Sunday that India will not be sporting an alternate match kit during their tense ICC World Cup encounter against Pakistan on October 14.

Arch-rivals The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the World Cup match between India and Pakistan.

Shelar issued a statement denying media claims that India would wear a different uniform for the match, saying, “We completely reject the media reports that Team India will be donning an other match uniform against Pakistan. These rumors are entirely untrue and the product of someone’s imagination. At the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, The Men in Blue would wear the blue flag of India, he remarked.

It should be noted that India did don a different uniform for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. Team India changed to a darker shade of blue with orange sleeves for their match against England because both England and India were sporting blue during the tournament.
