Mickey Arthur sends a final caution to India over the World Cup. Following a contentious “seemed like BCCI event” comment, the head coach of Pakistan issues

India a final caution over the World Cup.

Arthur has now issued a warning to the Indian squad over the upcoming World Cup, even though the cricket world has not recovered from his absurd comment.

Following the team’s crushing seven-wicket defeat at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday, Pakistan head coach Mickey Arthur gained notoriety for making the controversial claim that the game felt “more like a BCCI event than an ICC” because no Pakistani music was played at the venue during play. Arthur has since issued a warning to the Indian squad regarding the “World Cup final,” even though international cricket has not recovered from the absurd comment.

India crushed Pakistan in front of a raucous Ahmedabad crowd to win the World Cup for the eighth time in history against their bitter rivals.

This is a tie for the most victories a team has ever had against one opponent. Despite the innings being rebuilt by skipper Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan with an 82-run partnership, Pakistan suffered a horrific collapse at the hands of Kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah, as they were dismissed for just 191 over the following 73 balls.

India chased down the mark with 117 balls remaining, while Rohit Sharma later recorded his second consecutive fifty-plus score and Shreyas Iyer his maiden in a World Cup tournament.

Arthur is not only optimistic in his side’s progress to the knockout stages, but he also thinks that Pakistan will face India in the final at the same site next month, despite the crushing setback that left veterans and experts doubting if the squad can even make it to the semifinals.
